Albert Einstein And You

Do you wonder why I gave this title to the article?

Well, first of all I'd like to start with an Einstein quote. I love quotes and tend to collect them. So here we go:

"The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious. It is the source of all true art and all science. He to whom this emotion is a stranger, who can no longer pause to wonder and stand rapt in awe, is as good as dead: his eyes are closed."

I'm sure you already had at least one experience in your life when things just happened mysteriously. Everything was just in place and life seemed to just flow effortlessly. Well, believe me or not if you practice qigong (chikung, chikong) you can bring more and more of these "mysteries" into your life. What's more it is not a mystery at all. I already mentioned that we create our reality with our thoughts... Remember?

Now how is our thoughts connected to Qigong, let alone to mysteries - you might ask. Let me explain:

When you practice qigong the energy (Qi) cleans not only your energy channels called meridians in your body but also your feelings and thoughts. Let's put it in a simple way: If you are full of energy, you feel content and happy - right? You see the world in a positive light.

Now, when you are run down you tend to be more pessimistic and just everything seems to collapse around you. I'm sure you experienced such moments as well. People tend to say that you are out of luck...

Actually it is not luck or fate BUT your mind! Depending on the majority of your thoughts you create that reality in your life. This is good news as you can start implementing this right now - your mind will obey and follow suit so to speak.

Now back to qigong: the exercises feel you up with energy, thus your body heals itself, you feel good so you have positive thoughts. It's a cycle really. The only thing you have to do is to make the first step and see how your whole life can change for the better!

Remember? Einstein said we only use about 6% of our mind? The more conscious you become, the more you can achieve! Each of us are geniuses - time to let that genie come out and serve us.

I wrote down how I met qigong (chikung) and how I fell in love with it. You can read it here:

The Pittsburgh Pirates Are Famous - What About You?

Garrett Jones - The Pittsburgh Pirates
The Pittsburgh Pirates are well know not just for their play but some "funny" habits as well like stuffing hamburgers into their doughnuts.  17 awesome things are mentioned about the Pittsburgh Pirates in the last usatoday.com article. Surely they work hard for their fame - which raises two topics here:

1. Who is famous?

In my opinion you can be famous within your surrounding even by doing little things! People do "memorize" all our actions and everybody becomes famous for one thing or another, we just don't use this word, but the essence is the same...

So what do you want to be famous for? Think about it and then act accordingly - news spread with lightning speed.

2. What sport is the best?

Well, I'm sure everybody has a different answer to this question. But if we take health into consideration then they would not be even in the first 100 list... Why I am saying that? Remember their doughnuts? Working out alone does not guarantee a healthy lifestyle. What is more, we haven't talked about keeping our feelings and mind healthy as well. The latter two surely can be achieved by doing qigong or joga for example, but usually not  with competitive sports. So from this aspect maybe the sport types thought to be the best are not the best after all....

What is YOUR take on this? Feel free to share your opinion below!

Best 3 + 1 Tips To Start Your Qigong Practice Again

I'm sure most of you have dropped doing physical activities at some point in your lives. So you are quite familiar with that postponing strategy of " tomorrow I'll start it" and then again tomorrow, and a month has past and still nothing done.... Is that familiar? If so read on and find some simple tips that help you get back into the habit of working out.

 1. Talk to a friend and decide on a time when you do qigong together - it is much easier to stick to the plan this way!

 2. Write it down in your daily to do list and tick it when you have done it - works wonders I can tell you! no to do list yet? start one - today - it will save you a lot of time and get things done - guaranteed

3. Start with short exercises - do it for 10 minutes - easier to start with a 10 minutes block then with a complete hour of qigong exercises.

Even if you start with 10 minutes you'll feel energized within two days - which helps you to go to the one hour training!

Another "funny", extra tip: do the standing qigong posture while travelling to work. I do it all the time in the underground. I can balance really well and no one notices! I stand next to the first seat near the door, in case something happens I can easily grab the bar.

Now, what are you waiting for? Start implementing :)- and let me know how you are doing!

Why Chi Kung can heal chronic diseases?

Reasons why chikong can heal chronic disease:

1.      Beneficial control to give the brain a chance to re-regulate or recuperate those functions which are deviated a little:
In Hong Kong, when the new air port had been built, they moved from Kai Tak Airport (the old airport) to the new international airport immediately to start work in order to celebrate the reunion of Hong Kong to China in 1997, may be it was too hurry, everything was in a mess after the ceremony, so the Hong Kong Government decided to stop receiving orders from outside, that is to say, no passenger transportation, no cargo transportation so to give a small group of computer experts a chance ( a certain period of time without disturbance from outside, at this time, the air port was under a special situation, no body worked except a small group of experts ) to re-regulate the computer system, put everything back to the normal track. Then, they started receiving order from outside again as normal.
In practicing Chi Kung, the same reason, we put the body into a special situation, in this situation, no disturbance from the outside, that is to say, you concentrate so much that you hear nothing, see nothing, smell nothing, now the brain gets a chance to use its innate function to re-regulate what is deviated from the normal track and put them back to the way they are supposed to be. The ordinary people never give the brain such a chance but the Chi Kung people know that it’s important, this is not sleeping, in sleeping, every part of the brain nearly stops working, it is a very special situation in which a certain part of the brain works very hard while the other parts stop working. That is it! Makes sense, right? What mystery?
2.      Internal massage ---- breathing with the diaphragm:
In Chi Kung practice, we breathe with the diaphragm, the diaphragm moves up and down and thus cause internal massaging the organs inside and thus produce secretions which improve digestion and other metabolisms.
3.      Resume those secretions which seem to be dry and thus get back a part of our youth:
When the chi passes through some glands which seem to stop working when we become mature, the Chi stimulates those glands which will resume working to some degree. The declining secretions become active again. That is why the people who practice Chi Kung constantly look younger than those who don’t usually.
4.      Raise the ability of our self-healing systems:
We all know that muscle can be trained to become stronger. Can our self-healing system (more than immune system, not only against germs) be trained? The answer is “yes”, Chi Kung is the exercise to do that.
